Ski touring has always been part of the genes of the German brand: Tour Expert, Mountain, SnowWolf, Amaruq, VTA ... And so many enthusiasts who have been able to discover the mountains and the beauty of sunrises (sunrise). For 2020 Völkl is therefore presenting a new range of ski touring: RISE. Ultralight skis thanks to a hybrid wood core and 3D construction. We find the excellent skiability which makes the reputation of Völkl in particular thanks to the straight edges. Modern touring skis that will be safe on hard snow and comfortable in powder with wide tips. There is a new “Smart Skin Clip” skin system: functional and easy to use in both directions (remove and install from the front or the back). The skins are developed by Kohla with Smart Glue and Fiber Tech technology. Smart Glue Skin is a glue that requires less force to remove the skins, especially when they are stuck together. The Mohair / Nylon mix is glued directly to a rubber material called Fiber Tech. By avoiding the use of cotton, the skin will absorb much less water: less risk of kicking, the skin will dry much more quickly, and will remain light. Then we find in the range the RISE HIGH 88, replacing the famous VTA 88 Lite and the RISE BEYOND 98 which replaces the VTA 98. 4 new skis are available in the range: the Rise 82 and the Rise 88, available in women's version : Rise 82 W and Rise 88.
